On the other hand, the 1-year e-Visa is valid for 365 days from the date of issue and allows for multiple entries. It is a good option for travelers who plan to visit India multiple times within a year.
Additionally, the 5-year tourist e-Visa is valid 60 months from the issuance date and allows multiple entries. It is the most expensive option, but it is ideal for frequent travelers to India, such as those with family ties.
The limitations of India tourist e-Visa:
Financial proof requirement: Applicants might need to show proof of sufficient funds for their stay in India.
Flight and hotel bookings: Proof of flight ticket or hotel booking is not required.
Passport criteria: Only ordinary passports are accepted.
Passport validity: Passports expiring less than six months from the entry date need renewal. A minimum of 6 months of validity is required.
Restricted areas: The visa does not allow visits to protected, restricted, or military areas in India.
Immigration stamping: No need to visit the Indian embassy for visa stamping, but two blank pages in the passport are required for immigration stamps at the airport.
Mode of entry: Entry into India is permitted only by air or cruise. Road entry is not allowed on a tourist e-Visa.
